A new time vortex

Jeff has given me a hard time for not knowing how to use Photoshop =) So, today during the girls' nap, I decided to give it a try. What I discovered was a wonderful tool with endless possibilities...and a new time vortex for my life - a place where I can sit down for a few minutes and somehow, hours seem to pass. So...I share with you my first photoshoped photo (all you experts, don't be too harsh (eh em, Mark, cough)).
Before:
After:
Now I just need to learn some composite techniques...

Just like Uncle Yosh

It took forever for Maddi to get some hair and even now, it's still really thin and short compared to girls her age...except when she wakes up from a nap! Her adorably curly locks can create one of the largest afro's that I've ever seen on a little girl. Oh - and it completely resembles the look of Uncle Yosh's when he was this age. If I had a scanner, I could show you ;o)

The family *enjoys* Rockefeller Center

Rockefeller Center - all the hype at Christmas with the lighting of the big tree and the ice skating rink. It's talked about on all the news channels and people travel from all over just to see it. We were looking forward to finding a beautiful Christmas tree wonderfully decorated that would allow us to join the world in their "oohs" and "ahhs". What we found instead was something a little larger than a bush decorated with a few LED lights - big dissapointment. At least now we know that the Outlets at Anthem really has the largest and best decorated Christmas tree in the good ol' US of A. Oh, and the ice skating rink, really no larger than a normal size AZ backyard pool. As you can see it was an *enjoyable* experience for everyone.

Radio City Music Hall

Rockefeller Center, home to Radio City Music Hall where we saw the Rockettes. We enjoyed how they decorated the outside of Radio City and there were several fountains surrounding it with elaborate holiday displays. Jeff stops everyone for a lite snack from a hotdog and pretzel vendor before seeing the show. We were all looking forward to seeing Rockefeller Center and the *famous* tree after the show.

Riding the LIRR

Riding the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) into central Manhattan arriving at Penn Station. Our first trip to the city was to see the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and Rochefeller Center. Maddi loved the train...most of the time.

Three Months Old...

So Isabelle Grace is now three months old and there is still debate among the family about if she looks like Maddi and which parent she looks like. So....I pulled some pictures of Maddi when she was the same age that Isabelle is now. You decide...

Happy Halloween

Our two little bugs. One big beautiful butterfly...hopped up on candy and incredibly excited about learning that if you go up to a stranger and say 'trick or treat', they give you candy. and for being *extra* adorable, they give you more candy.

Where was I??

I think I was at the computer...possibly in the bathroom...
but I stumbled upon the following scene when I *thought* Maddi was watching Diego.

Thanks Jeff for teaching Maddi that address labels can also be used as stickers. =)

intuitive?

So I really expected blogging to be more intuitive. First of all, I have two blogs - one created by Yarsh for Maddi (madilynfaith.blogspot.com) and this one that I created after trying to post a comment on a friends blog only to find out that only fellow bloggers can post comments. So that means that I have two log-ins, one as Maddi and one as abbimolly. Any idea how to switch users? Therefore, this blog may in fact post as "Maddi".

Second, how do you change the look of the blog? I found the "blogger" links that direct you to many changes purely by accident. When you go to post a blog, it pulls up this tiny window where you can enter text and a few other items. However, if you click 'save draft' and click on 'edit drafts', it takes you to a whole new screen with all sorts of options and tabs along the top. Additionally, you have more options when typing in a new blog than you did before, like adding a picture. Why can't blogger take you to this page to begin with?

I generally thought of myself as intelligent - how little did I know that I would be brought down by such a simple thing as a blog...oh, and I still can't figure out how to change the template but I am not giving up yet...
